Street Pastors: Volunteering Open Evening

When

22 August 2023
18:00 - 21:00

Join the friendly Street Pastor team at Malt Cross, learn about their work and find out how to get involved!

Street Pastors is a multi-church project set up in 2010. We offer practical, non-judgemental, and compassionate help to vulnerable people at risk for their own safety or that of others. If there is an individual in need, they will be there on hand with a smile, an ear, and a kind word.

By handing out preventative supplies such as water, lollipops and flip flops or providing emergency first-aid, Street Pastors are there to help when someone’s night out takes a turn for the worst.

Whether it be listening to someone who is lonely, someone else under the influence of alcohol and has lost their friend, talking down a fight or signposting the homeless to a support organisation – Street Pastors is all about showing God’s love to the city by providing care and assistance.

We love throwing open our doors and welcoming you to our Victorian Music Hall. Bringing people together, under our iconic glass roof, is our speciality.

As a registered charity we actively fundraise to support vital programmes and services for vulnerable children and young people in the local community. This event is free but a donation can be made which will go directly to supporting communities across Nottingham and the wider county. Thank you for your continued generosity which allows us to support more people to belong, contribute and thrive.
