A Historic Venue, Open to Everyone.

Malt Cross is proud to be one of the UK’s few surviving Victorian music halls. Built in 1877 and now Grade II listed, the building is an important part of Nottingham’s heritage.

While its historic status gives Malt Cross its unique character, it also places limitations on the physical alterations that can be made. Rather than leaving customers uncertain, we believe it’s important to explain this clearly and help people plan their visit with confidence.

We’re committed to creating a welcoming experience for everyone by providing clear information, practical support and a friendly team ready to help wherever possible.

Accessibility at The Malt Cross.

We want every guest to feel comfortable when visiting Malt Cross. While our historic building has some physical limitations, the ground floor includes facilities to help make your visit as accessible as possible.

Ground Floor

  • Accessible customer areas

  • Accessible dining and seating

  • Accessible toilet

First Floor

The first-floor balcony is not currently accessible to wheelchair users due to the historic nature of the building.

We know this may affect some visitors, so we believe it’s important to explain this clearly before you arrive.

Always Here to Help.

Every visitor’s needs are different, and we’re always happy to provide practical support wherever we can.

If you have any accessibility requirements, we encourage you to contact our team before your visit. We’ll be happy to discuss:

  • The most suitable access to the venue
  • Seating options
  • Any practical support that may make your visit more comfortable

Although customers usually order at the bar, our team is attentive to anyone who may require assistance and will provide reasonable help wherever possible.

Our aim is to ensure every visitor receives a warm welcome and enjoys their time at Malt Cross.
