Spinning since “back in the day” (1992), Mista Shotta is a true veteran of the Nottingham DJ scene.

His sound is rooted in soul and funk, drawing from a wide mix of genres including Funk, Soul, Disco, Northern Soul, Jazz-Funk, Latin, Afrobeat, House and Trip-Hop — always focused on playing the very best tunes with feeling and groove.

Over the years, he’s been part of a number of club nights and free party collectives including Rumpshaker, Tribal Unity and Ghostfoot. His longest-running residency was with Fever, delivering legendary percussive nights blending Jazz-Funk, Afro-Latin, House and Hip-Hop across Nottingham venues for over a decade.
