Brides, grooms, and guests are loving the Malt Cross as their wedding reception venue! Built as a Victorian music hall in 1877, the Malt Cross is one of the most beautiful and celebrated venues in Nottinghamshire, its gorgeous original features and overarching windows creating the ideal setting for a celebration.
The lower floor is the perfect space for a wedding breakfast, and afterwards to party into the night, with its own stage for your band or DJ, while the galleried first floor and other rooms serve as lounge areas for guests.
A Tailored Celebration for Brides and Grooms
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all service! Our dedicated team work closely with the bride and groom to understand their preferences, wants, and needs, and go on to create the perfect wedding reception, tailored just for them. The space can be curated for a variety of layouts and sizes of parties, depending on the bride and groom’s preferences.
The venue lends itself to intimate weddings with a three course, sit-down meal for between 60 and 110 guests, and works equally well for a more relaxed, buffet style meal, seating up to 120. Our team works with the bride and groom to create the ideal table layout for the wedding party, and our talented chef creates a menu that reflects the theme of the day.
A Party to Remember!
We are happy to help choose and book musicians for the day, recommending and booking acts we know can deliver a proper knees-up! Naturally, couples can bring their own band and/or DJ if they prefer. The Malt Cross is a fantastic place for a once in a lifetime party, offering plenty of space for those who want to dance into the night.
A Feast Worthy of the Occasion
Our Malt Cross chef help couples choose from an array of delicious options, crafting a personalised menu for their special day. We pride themselves on locally sourced, seasonal food, prepared on-site in the Malt Cross kitchen. There are two packages on offer – the Gold Package is a sit-down, three course meal (starter, main course, and dessert), and the Silver Package is buffet style.
